Privacy Notice

1.Who is responsible for your information

RSS Construction & Renovations (registration 2021/966344/07) is the responsible party for the personal information described here. You can reach us on 061 414 4855 or at rssinfo8@gmail.com.

2.What we collect

Only what you give us. If you use the contact form, that is your name, your phone number, your message, and your email address if you choose to provide it — the email field is optional. If you contact us on WhatsApp, by phone or by email, we hold whatever you send us in that conversation. We do not collect anything else, and the website does not track your browsing.

3.Why we collect it

To answer your enquiry, arrange a site visit, and prepare a quote. That is the only purpose. We do not use your details for marketing, and we do not sell or rent them to anyone.

4.Cookies and tracking

We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are actually used, so we can improve the site. It is off until you agree: when you first arrive we ask, and nothing is loaded and no cookie is set unless you choose "Yes". If you decline, no analytics cookie is ever placed on your device and the site works exactly the same. If you agree, Google Analytics sets two cookies (named _ga and _ga_ followed by a code) which last up to two years and let it tell a returning visitor from a new one. We have IP anonymisation switched on, and we have disabled every advertising feature — your visit is not used to build an advertising profile and we run no ads. You can change your mind at any time using the button at the end of this notice, which deletes those cookies.

5.Information sent outside South Africa

Contact form submissions are delivered through Web3Forms, a service hosted outside the Republic of South Africa. Section 72 of POPIA requires us to tell you when personal information crosses the border, and this is that disclosure. Web3Forms processes the submission solely to deliver it to us as an email. If you would rather not have your details leave the country, contact us on WhatsApp or call 061 414 4855 instead. The same applies to Google Analytics, if you agreed to it: Google processes that information on servers outside South Africa. Declining the analytics request, or withdrawing it later, stops that transfer entirely.

6.How long we keep it

Contact form submissions are automatically deleted after three years. Correspondence relating to work we actually carried out may be kept longer where we are required to do so, for example for tax, warranty or NHBRC purposes.

7.Who else sees it

Our own team, and the service providers who help deliver the enquiry to us. We do not share your information with third parties for their own purposes. We may disclose it where the law requires it.

8.Keeping it secure

The website is served over HTTPS and form submissions are encrypted in transit. No system is perfectly secure, so please do not send sensitive information such as identity numbers or banking details through the contact form.

9.Your rights under POPIA

You may ask what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, and object to our use of it. Contact us on the details above and we will respond in a reasonable time. If you are not satisfied, you may lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator (South Africa) — see inforegulator.org.za.

10.Children

This site is aimed at property owners and businesses. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

11.Changes to this notice

We may update this notice as the site changes. The version published here at the time you contact us is the one that applies.
